sikhnet
sikhnet is a well known sikh website. i think it'd be cool to be apart of the staff. i know a decent bit about internet - stuff and i think i could help bring in some more liberalism into the extreme conservative nature of the current sikhnet boards.

greenpeace
ever since i saw the doc on greepeace and their efforts out in the arctic with the whales and shit i've been impressed with what these people can do. they will literally send out a fishing vessel out to the arctic to follow japanese whaling ships in order to make sure they will not pull a whale aboard. for whatever reason the whalers refuse to whale on camera, so this disables their whaling operation. if they can get a camera on the main ship, then they've blocked the entire fleet from being able to bring in whale meat. to me it just seems like a very hands on way to bring about good in the world. you can actually be on the front lines. you can fight for something worthwhile. you can make a measurable difference in the world. to me that's an alluring prospect. the idea that i could be out on a fishing boat, helping stop the japanese from mincing a massive whale, our largest creature, and their "science resource" and known food source, it just seems terrible we reduce these creatures to mere meal rather than appreciating their majesty. we after all can survive on vegetarian living. our teeth arent designed for us to be carnivorous. while we are omnivores, we're clearly not meant to be eating other creatures. its moreso fruit and berry living that keeps us healthy & happy. so why we go to such great lengths to mince these massive creatures on metal boat grinders haul it to land then go through so much trouble to package and process all this meat - to me its a great disrespect to life and should be outlawed. these cattle farm slaughterhouses and these fisheries which're breeding beds for new diseases, these chicken cooks where het animals are fed pieces of their forefathers as meal, the conditions are terrible and its a blight on the living world. we as humans must put an end to our machines destructive nature, the age of brutism needs to come to an end, and we're starting to wake up to the worlds beating heart, and our attempts to plunder all their is and stop the lifeflow that keeps everything alive and well on this planet.

E'ci Public Raiding
source
Public raiders mission started out on the E`ci Server with the goal of allowing anyone who met the requirements (level/flags) a chance to raid and experience the game on a different level, without regards to guild tag/affiliation. This mission has not changed. If you meet the requirements set forth when raid is called, you can join the raid channel, regardless of guild tag.
Infinit – members in this guild support and sponsor the public raids. These members make up the core of the raid force, sponsor the website and maintain the dkp recording. Infinit members can and will be asked to sit out events to give other opportunities.
DKP – we are a pure DKP system. You earn DKP for raids, and you spend your dkp building your character as you see best. We might try to educate some into “smart” buying for your class, but ultimately the end decision is yours to make.
Raiding with Public
Somewhere along the way, the concept of “public” has deviated into “I show up and you owe me a spot” on a raid because you are public.
We are a raid force, just like any private guild. We value loyalty, commitment, integrity, honesty, and willingness to help others in our raid force – just like any private guild. We have standards we set forth in allowing those to join raids (levels and flags needed), like any private guild. We have standards of what raiders need (specific AA’s, cures) in order to participate in certain events, just like a private guild. What we don’t have is hoops someone has to jump through, or long pm process to join raids, all you need is to meet the requirements when raid is called.
• If you meet the requirements we call in channel, you can join the raid channel.
• If your gear, abilities are sufficient to allow you a chance to survive an event, you could be offered a raid spot, else would be asked to sit out (Raiders should have a minimum of 300 AA’s for the higher end content )
• Public is not obligated to allow anyone who shows up a raid spot. (Ie, the newly minted Level 75 raider with 24 aa’s , will not expect to be first choice in top end counters, regardless if you have your DK/ToB key)
• We are not obligated to flag you for a new high-end zone just because you showed up one day and heard about rotting flags. We like to know you before we flag you.
• If you are disruptive, disrespectful or generally an ass/jerk/dickhead on a repeated basis, you will be told to go away.
• Public leaders can and do vote to “ban” raiders.
• Public does not mean we owe you a spot, the raid leaders/leaders have the right to be selective.
• Raid leaders have dominion over the raids they lead.
• When more raiders show up then the event supports, every effort is given to try and give everyone an opportunity, sometimes this is not feasible.
Public is a raid force currently working on high-end progression to end game encounters with some of the server’s top-end raiders, that are spread across various guilds; we value the individual, not the guild tag. But like any private guild – we do reserve the right to turn away raiders from certain events due to (being under-geared, or lack of AA’s), and the right to ban disruptive raiders or those incapable of following the rules.
Want to raid? Come with the right attitude, right flags, necessary AA’s, and have a willingness to contribute to the raid.
